Cool, friendly and welcoming enviroment The service was lovely, and our room was clean. It has a great location, and the staff even has a board with things to do around town. We were three girls and didn't feel unsafe once. It was a very cool and welcoming experience.

Slept fine but weird atmosphere The hostel was okay. The room was nothing special, but also not bad. The walls are paper thin however, we could everything our neighbours said.

The atmosphere in the hostel is kind of strange for a hostel. It seems that a lot of locals sleep there, and there weren't that many backpackers. If you're looking for a fun backpacking hostel, I'd look elsewhere.

Nice hostel A nice quiet hostel in the heart of Knysna and close to major attractions. I will definitely recent to all others.

Spartan room, no heating The location on Main street is very far from the city center so no possibility to go to dinner on this same street and even less on the port on foot in the evening. The place is mainly for backpackers who do not need comfort. I was surprised that it was surprisingly quiet in the evening. I took one of the only single rooms that was quite spartan: bed not very comfortable, spacious bathroom with walk-in shower but no heating so very early September in South Africa, especially if the day is rainy, I shivered all night even with the blanket. Very average value for money. Fortunately, the team is friendly and very helpful.

Fun and friendly Our stay at Island Vide Knysna was amazing. There was great service, and the facilities were kept neat. It was really lovely to experience a backpacker the way they are meant to be, social and friendly. With a bring and braai every night it's hard not to make new acquaintances. They also have a board giving you a little insite into what's in the area to do and how much it costs. Absolutely terrific! Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Great Vibes at Island Vibe Went there for a little solo trip and was met with friendly and professional staff and a beautiful room with great views and good starting point into the area of Knysna

Island Vibes is a Vibe The location is perfect close to everything and the Host was very helpful with suggestions night clubs around as we were just passing through and needed some intertainment

Excellent The only thing that could be improved is the bedrooms furniture: could also be some lockers or perhaps a little table or armchair. Would help a lot when managing bags

Funky and comfy and very reasonable Not elegant or luxurious, but funky and comfy. The staff were very helpful and considerate. The fire pit was wonderful to sit by at night. Our room was spacious but there was an issue with a shower door that did not close properly or adequately. Relatively conveniently located to the center and the waterfront and very reasonably priced.

What a lovely stay I’ve never been disappointed by Island Vibe, the staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms and bathrooms are neat and tidy, comfortable and inviting. Thank you for having us!
