Great stay at The Russel Hotel Such a nice gem in Knysna. My family and I stayed for 2 nights at The Russel Hotel. Nice quiet location, the room was clean and spacious, the staff was friendly. The manager Busi was really helpful. Close to the Knysna main road /shops and waterfront. Would definitely come back to this hotel !

Awesome Stay Place clean and neatly. Location perfect in town. Breakfast very nice, staff were very friendly and helpful.

Overnight stay Efficient check-in. Friendly manageress. Clean rooms and bedding. Tea station well stocked. Complimentary water provided. Toiletries were adequate. Working aircons. 1 of the 3 rooms booked had a shower in the bath tub-danger of slipping! Breakfast was great! Overall, very good value for money.

Russel hotel Pleasant stay. Busi is brilliant and very accommodating.

Breakfast was good however, i felt like service was abit slow and we had to wait for our meals.

Our stay was amazing We enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect. It is right at the centre of everything. The staff are very friendly. Busi made sure we were comfortable. The beds were comfortable and clean.

excellent value for money The room was quite spacious for three adults. It had one large double bed and two single beds. The bathroom was very large. Breakfast was à la carte. The location was excellent, close to the town center.

Really Excellent The staff are just amazing - especially Busi - but all of them really, Spotlessly Clean, perfectly located and just a pleasure to stay

To be avoided Contrary to what seen in the photos the rooms have been renovated except for the bathrooms. Rooms that unfortunately are strongly smelly. Breakfast not classifiable given the small choice. Chosen by our tour operator but you for a few euros more could find better.

Wonderful stay The Russel hotel is well situated. We could explore Knysna and surrounding areas from there, knowing our belongings were safe in a hotel room. Every evening we could see forward to a quiet, peaceful night of sleep in a crispyfresh, clean hotel room. Value for your money. Worth more than the 3 stars they were rated!
